The International Cartoon Contest « Bulls Yes, bullfighters No » (1), edition 2014 invites artists and cartoonists to express their views through the following proposal, each participant will address and develop in their  carton(s) in a critical and satirical way around characters that are explained below: rogues, and beggars.

~ The rogues* are « people of the bull »: the public and the bullfighting fans.

It is about the selfish and cruel characters, without scruple or restraint, that in their free time go to a coliseum where they pay money to watch a sacrificial ritual (2). This ritual consists of a bunch of executioners disguised as puppets, there they harass, injure and stab a designated victim, an isolated and trapped individual in a deadly siege, to see him collapse and drag pitifully vomiting his lungs through the nose and mouth on the sand.
Once fallen, left quadriplegic the bull is stabbed in the neck but still conscious (3), and then the animal is mutilated to extract from him macabre "trophies" (the ear(s) and the tail), the dying victim is dragged relentlessly by the head to an area where he will be butchered. The bull will soon be replaced by another victim, another new "toy" that will suffer the same cruelties and torments for enjoyment, pleasure and revelry of the crowd of delirious sadists (4) and often drunken, perverted bunch (5) who perpetuate these heinous practices through systematic recruitment, indoctrination, and the corruption of innocent children (6).

~ The beggars are « the bullfighter mafia »: entrepreneurs and farmers.

They are the traffickers of lives and traders of Souls (7) powerful and influential who profit from the suffering, agony and death of defenseless and completely innocent: bulls and horses at their mercy.
Not content with this, mercilessly exploit the vulnerable laborers (8), at the same time they promote and enliven the ethical annihilation, the moral degradation, social degeneration, domestic and gender violence (9), and the corruption of the social and political classes.
To run these inconceivable abuses in the context of a society which, in its vast majority, openly repudiates these depraved activities (10) and criminal (11), they resort to means of paid media communication. They use corrupt politicians and duped altruistic associations, through which state funds are seek to obtain subsidies from public funds, enabling them to finance the events in question and get juicy personal gain.

The general discredit, increasing popular resistance and the gradual awareness of the population, make that this disgusting business be more repudiated each day. And it is for this that the shameless beggars roam miserably from door to door, begging from a council to another, imploring in the municipalities for the money of the people and the communities whose coffers are being plundered (12).

~ Considering the characteristics of the above mentioned characters and their sordid activities, it is clear that they deserve the most careful and urgent attention by professional medical, political, legal and prison authorities, both for the welfare of the persons concerned to ensure the safety of people orbiting around them. All in the name and care of a society that should be compassionate to its lagging elements, but also fair for the population at large, and whose protection, security, and health, our authorities have a duty to ensure.

1) A whole motto of the abolitionist battle, the phrase « Bulls Yes, bullfighters No », which gives name to our annual contest and international movement, is originally a term coined by Mexican writer and cartoonist Eduardo del Río, « Rius », our honorary president, who used as the title of his iconic anti-bullfighting book published in 1990.
2) The expression is not ours, we took it from the Spanish writer Fernando Sanchez Drago, totemic guru of the pathogens pro bullfighting followers, who is pleased to largely develop the theme of sacrificial ritual to anyone who is willing to listen ... Regarding the origins of bullfighting killings, this author does not hesitate to trace them to Atlantis itself, also does not vacillate in granting the dubious (and sadder) title of « first bullfighter of history » none other than the legendary hero Achilles ...
3) Cambridge Declaration of July 7, 2012: Official recognition of animal consciousness by world prominent neuroscientists, under the presence of Stephen Hawking:
4) Ignorant or innocent who, despite of what is seen clear and publicly in the arenas, believes that the anger, the grudge, and the sadism of such individuals is limited to only the poor animals and every month, if not every week depending on the season, gives us a sample of the uncontrollable violence of such monsters. Perhaps the most notorious of them in recent years constituted by the case of Rodilhan, where the October 8, 2011 a small group of courageous peaceful and tied on the ground activists were literally lynched by rabid barbarians, blinded by anger:
5) Consult the study: « Psychology of bullfighting followers »:
6) On February 5, 2014, the United Nations (UN), through its Committee on the Rights of the Child (global body responsible for compliance with the International Convention on the Rights of the Child) has formally urged to keep away children and youth of the barbaric spectacle of bullfighting for being a bloody and brutal practice explicitly « violent activity in which the child is exposed since childhood, violating his/her rights to physical and moral integrity ». In short, it is a vector of CHILD CORRUPTION. Indeed, psychologists and psychoanalysts of children have declared that exposure to the bloody spectacles is likely to cause at least ten mental disorders in children. View:
7) Also see the video graphic investigation « Learn to kill », a brief documentary of Pablo Knudsen about bullfighting schools and the corruption of children:
8) « Animals possess a soul and men must love and feel solidarity with our smaller brethren. They are the result of the active creation of the Holy Spirit and deserve respect. Animals are as close to God as they are men "(John Paul II, January 19, 1990). See also the work of Mons. Mario Canciani » :
9) Great economic expansion following the restructuring of the sector "bullfighting" in Barcelona:
10) Domestic violence and animal cruelty:
11) Bullfights are expressly prohibited in 96% of the countries in the world, where they are considered a crime and punished as such. In half of the remaining 4%, the eight ones that allow it (Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, and France), these « spectacles » are not even allowed on the entire territory ... The best example of this is undoubtedly France, where a bullfighter who tortures a bovid out of the eleven specific areas is tolerated by term « exception to the law » (« Alinéa 3 »),  is considered legally as « criminal » and punished with two years of prison and a fine of 30.000 euros.
12) On September 9, 2014, the FBI classified animal abuse as « crime against society », formally including abandonment, cruelty and torture against animals, to « murder, drug trafficking, assault, [and] arson », no less. The following is what the FBI considers animal cruelty in its report: « take intentionally, knowingly or recklessly action to mistreat or kill an animal, such as torture, torment, maul, damage, poison or abandonment ». Also evokes « the  transportation or confinement of an animal so that it can cause injury or death; force an animal to fight with another; as well as excessive or repeated infliction of unnecessary pain, the use of objects to hit or hurt an animal. » As seen above with the exception of poisoning, bullfights themselves absolutely fall under the grounds of abuse and cruelty as criminal acts identified by the FBI.
13) Quoting for example Galicia Mellor Sen Touradas brilliant campaign ( currently underway and close to abolish bullfighting in that community in northern Spain, also the legislative initiative Bread and Bulls (, both focuses on the complaint and removal of subsidies to bullfighting and the political-financial privileges to the tauromafia.
